Bogies - Kits

A range of sprung bogie kits, comprising an etched brass frame with detailed

 pewter castings. These are developments of the design used in my FFA/FGA
kit. They are designed to allow the wheelsets to be removed for painting or maintenance. The spring characteristics can be simply changed by the use of different gauges of spring steel wire (guitar string material).  
The etches will be available separately for those who choose to use other
castings or moldings.

For shoe brakes, these are designed to line up with the outer face of P4 wheels; this allows clearance to the wheel flange with the potential rocking action of the suspension. The alignment can be carefully adjusted for EM wheelsets; it is not possible to align them with 00 wheelsets.
